My Background
TRIPP STARLING, RICP®, CPFA®, ChSNC®
Senior Financial Advisor

Delivering financial advice and counsel to my clients is an honor and my passion. It's also a responsibility that I take very seriously. I'm able to do this through careful listening and a skilled discovery process that puts the client at the center of our relationship. While drawing on the vast resources of LPL Financial, I'm able to utilize investments as more than appreciable assets, but as tools to help clients pursue their goals and live a meaningful life. When investments are viewed in this way, generations can be positively impacted and the world left a better place. Helping clients achieve these great outcomes is our number one priority.
I have over 25 years of investment experience and have guided investors through multiple market cycles. I began my career in 1999 with Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. in Morehead City, NC. I've recently moved my practice to my hometown of Greensboro, NC with LPL Financial.
In 2022, I completed the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation with the American College of Financial Services. The RICP® designation signifies a financial advisor has advanced education and specialized knowledge in retirement income planning and is committed to professional and ethical best practices. I have also earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors, reflecting my commitment to managing retirement plans with the highest level of expertise and integrity.
Most recently, I earned the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) designation from The American College of Financial Services. This designation equips me with the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to provide specialized financial planning for individuals with special needs, their families, and caregivers. This includes navigating government benefits, tax planning, SSI, education, employment, special needs trusts, life insurance options, estate planning, and managing the complexities of Medicaid and long-term care costs.
Outside of the office, I've been involved with coaching youth sports, Autism Society of North Carolina, Hope is Alive, Seashore Soccer League, and East Carteret Wrestling. I also previously served as a Board Member at the Lionheart Academy of the Triad.
